TUTORIAL: Dolling Ponies (PART 2) by SachikoMerry TUTORIAL: Dolling Ponies (PART 2) by SachikoMerry
Here it is! Part 2. I had a bit of trouble explaining alot of stuff correctly, but I hope I get the point across decently enough. If you're still having trouble, just comment with your questions and stuff below. ^^ I'll try my best to help you.

It's very helpful.
... At least it would be "very" if I used MS Paint x'D But since I bought my Drawing tablet, I changed to Paint Tool Sai. No curves needed. I just change the size of the paint and voilà!

I Dont Do Thick Lines At First
I First Use The Liner To Design The Mane, Then Do Thick Lines
(i design to see if it matches/ looks good)

Very nice. ^^

I always used a thicker line to make the outline of the mane, but this looks so much nicer! :)  Thanks for the tutorial!

I did try it like this, but with my version of paint I didn't get anywhere... So I went back to my old tyechnic of sketching the mane out in a bright colour and then going over it with a thick curve tool in the colour I want the outline of the mane to be... Then I would remove the sketch lines.

How wide do the lines have to be once you finish outlining? Same size as the base's outline?

Thanks so much for the tutorial, I didn't really know how to make the tips so clean, all I was doing was taking that fat-ass line and then drawing on the pointy tips, it looked really sloppy.

What about with hats? I know it covers part of the mane, but how do you tell where to start the mane?

I was thinking it would look like this (right side): [link]

Sigh. I knew I'd eventually get this question thrown at me.

ALL computers have SOME version of MS Paint. Macs have Paintbrush. All Windows PCs have Paint. Start Menu > Search "paint.exe"

It's hardly that different.

Line and curve tools. (two under the 'a' icon - straight / line and the squiggly one)
